Senior Associate Brain Braganza recently returned from a 2 week trip to Malawi, in South Eastern Africa, where he facilitated a pair of workshops in community youth development for a number of national and international NGO’s, including the National Youth Coalition of Malawi (NYCOM), and staff and directors from Uniterra 3 and WUSC Malawi.

Brian facilitated two workshops in the capital city of Lilongwe, and further south, in the former capital of Blantyre. The signature HeartWood style – of experiential learning through play and meaningful interaction – was well received, as were Brian’s training in the HeartWood ‘Circle of Awesomeness’ and the Youth Engagement Spectrum.

Brian had the opportunity to host a ‘Train the Trainers’ workshop for participants following his workshop in Lilongwe, and then co-facilitated with several of the Lilongwe participants from NYCOM for the second workshop in Blantyre.

Participants took time during the workshops to complete a modified D3 PARC action planning activity, and as we speak are moving forward with a number of exciting initiatives.
