HeartWood Facilitator Brian Braganza has written an incredible article linking his work as a facilitator with the Center for Courage & Renewal, his work with HeartWood, and the incredible Futurestart program on Nova Scotia’s South Shore.

The article is a compelling read, underlining the importance, benefits and the challenges inherent in risk taking – what the HeartWood Framework for Community Youth Development often labels as ‘Adventuresome Learning’ – and more specifically, how Brian’s involvement and trainings with Courage & Renewal has affected his approach to working with youth, especially those from marginalized communities.

Take a look! The article can be found at

If you’re interested in further training opportunities, Brian is offering a training in Courage for Young Leaders and Activists,  Nov. 17th -19th, 2016, outside Baltimore, MD, USA – details can be found here.
