Maureen’s 30+ years of professional and volunteer work lay in the areas of youth development, community partnerships and program coordination. This work supports Maureen’s greater vision of supporting youth to achieve their personal best and engage in community.

In 1988, she and her husband, Marc Langlois, co-founded HeartWood Centre for Community Youth Development. Maureen has happily worked as part of the HeartWood team for over 25 years; as programmer, administrator, manager and volunteer. Maureen enjoys continued involvement as a perpetual Board Director!

Maureen currently works in Youth Justice with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services in London, ON.

Beyond treasured times spent with family and friends in both Nova Scotia and Ontario, Maureen enjoys travel, the outdoors, choral singing, yoga, good wine and good food!
