Mitchell is an instructor and graduate student at McGill University. He holds a B.A. from Concordia and a M.Sc. from the University of Edinburgh. Over the past 5 years, he has worked as an instructor at the University of Edinburgh, and has held research contracts at Dalhousie University and UPEI. Along with his HeartWood work, Mitchell also sits on the Editorial Board of Pathways (the Ontario Journal of Outdoor Education), is a member at large on the Canadian Arts Teachers and Researchers Association of Canada and is on graduate committee of the Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies. Mitchell is a published author and is a reviewer for the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAEEE) and the American Educational Research Association (AERA). Mitchell’s involvement in HeartWood is directly related to a shared commitment of making the world a better place for everyone.
